Lydia Redin is a senior at St. Marys High School.  Lydia is in her second year at the MOVTI and is currently enrolled in the Multimedia Publishing Program.  She completed the Graphic Design program last school year.  Lydia also was able to take single period courses at the MOVTI during her Sophomore year of high school.  According to Mrs. Leithead, MOVTI Graphic Design/Multimedia Instructor, Lydia has been in her classroom for three years and she has enjoyed teaching her and watching her graphic design skills and creativity grow.  She is not only excelling in the classroom, Lydia has recently taken on a position of Design Intern for the Pleasants County Public Library where she will assist in preparing graphics for their summer program and help update their website.  Lydia has overcome many obstacles this school year.  Despite her struggles, she has shown perseverance and determination to ensure all of her work is caught up.  Lydia deserves to be recognized for her resilience and her hard work.  After high school, Lydia plans to attend college and major in graphic design.  Her goal is to graduate from college and work as a graphic designer and also have her own hobby farm.

Wesley Thomas is a Senior at Tyler County High School.  Wesley is in his second year in the Welding Program at the MOVTI.  Wesley has great attendance and is a great student.  Mr. Sims, MOVTI Welding Instructor, states that Wesley has a great attitude and is working hard to earn his certifications.  After high school, Wesley is planning to attend Pierpont College and go into Aircraft Mechanics.  

Colby Lamb is a Junior at Ritchie County High School.  Colby is in his first year at the MOVTI in the Computer Systems & Technology program at the MOVTI.  Mr. Lopez, Computer Systems Instructor, states that Colby is a bright student.  He won GOLD at the WV SkillsUSA Competition this March and is preparing to compete at Nationals.  Colby has tested for the TestOut PC Pro Certification and received a perfect score!  He is also a team player, is helpful in the classroom and completes all assignments. Colby has also done a terrific job as our simulated workplace secretary.  After college, Colby plans to attend college and then open a Computer Repair Business.  

Haley Farson is a Junior at St. Marys High School.  Haley is in her first year of Law & Public Safety at the MOVTI.  Mr. Clark, MOVTI Law & Public Safety Instructor, states that Haley has the highest grade point average in the class for the entire year.  She has gone above and beyond in her role as Secretary in the Law & Public Safety Simulated Workplace by volunteering to take over organizing class inventory by labeling and counting all of our supplies.  She showed initiative by completely cleaning out, renovating and organizing our supply room without being asked to do so.  She regularly displays her leadership abilities in groups, during scenario training, working on skills on her own time and volunteering to teach those skills to single period students.  After high school, Haley plans to go to Glenville State University or Fairmont State and achieve a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  After college I plan to get a job in law enforcement.
