It's been awhile but we're back with the Instructor Spotlight! It was all to BUILD suspense...Steve Becker, our carpentry instructor, has the spotlight!


Congratulations! Therapeutic Services students Kaleigh Engel, Ariana Wick, Morgan Miner and Shelby Thomas (Ritchie County High School) all achieved a 100% on their Medical Terminology Test for lessons 1-7. This test consisted of 175 Medical Terminology prefixes, suffixes and root words.

Carpentry and Building Maintenance students have been busy this week! They are getting started on walls for their training building that will hold pods where they can practice plumbing, masonry, electrical work, flooring, and other essential skills! Real Learning for the Real World!

Mr. Morehead's morning students recently had the chance to participate in two simulated emergencies, which provided them with a valuable opportunity to put into practice the skills they have learned. These types of simulations are a great way for students to gain practical experience and build confidence in their abilities.







Project Lead the Way (Pre-Engineering) student, Daniel Winland (SM), designed and 3D printed a new lock out/tag out canister for Mr. Collins and his Industrial Equipment Maintenance class.


Last week, Mr. Bunch's PCMS students participated in a design challenge. Students were given two pieces of paper and a full bottle of water. They had to design the tallest tower using ONLY the materials given. The 5th graders won the challenge!








Law & Public Safety students Erika Perry (MHS) and Drake Duty (SM) attended the FBI Teen Academy in Charleston, WV this week. They represented MOVTI well, learned new skills and gained contacts with many federal and state agencies.
