Marshall County and Tyler County Search and Rescue teams collaborated with MOVTI Law and Public Safety students to learn how to set up lanes with different rescue related clues to aid in search and rescue missions. For example, a lost hunter or an elderly individual with dementia who wandered off. Students conducted a search, took notes on the clues, and tried to determine what they meant in the context of the theme. Students also radioed back to base (students manning the base station in the classroom) and communicated their actions and results. They switched roles at the base station and search team. Students were also introduced to Tyler County's trained cadaver dog, Ranger.

Matz's Equipment Company in Bridgeport, WV trained students on a new leverless tire changer. This new piece of equipment in our automotive will not damage tires and is also capable of changing low profile tires.
